The MPR is the main medium through which the Bank informs the public about the formulation and implementation of monetary policy. It provides a comprehensive, forward-looking framework for policy formulation by the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC); and serves as a basis for policy decisions. The MPR is produced three times a year; in April, August and October; and published on the Bank’s website within a week of the announcement of a policy decision following the MPC meetings held in the respective months.
