The Pula depreciated against the rand (-1.1) and British pound (-0.6 percent) but appreciated against the Japanese yen (2 percent); euro (1.8 percent); US dollar (0.6 percent) and Chinese renminbi (0.2 percent), over the one-month period to September 2019. However, in the twelve months to September 2019, the Pula depreciated against the Japanese yen (-8.9 percent); US dollar (-4 percent) and Chinese renminbi (-0.6 percent) but appreciated against the rand (2.4 percent); euro (2.3 percent) and British pound (1.8 percent).
