The Pula depreciated against the Japanese yen (-5.7 percent); British pound (-3.9 percent); US dollar (-3.7 percent); euro (-2.7 percent) and Chinese renminbi (-0.1 percent) but appreciated against the rand (4.1), over a one-month period to August 2019. However, in the twelve months to August 2019, the Pula depreciated against the Japanese yen (-7.2 percent) and US dollar (-3.1 percent) but appreciated against British pound (3.6 percent); euro (2.5 percent); Chinese renminbi (1.3 percent) and rand (1.1 percent).
