A summary of the Business Expectations Survey (BES) conducted by the Bank of Botswana in the second quarter of 2019 is now available on the Bank’s website.  This covers local business community’s perceptions about the prevailing state of the economy and economic prospects up to June 2020.  While the survey provides useful information concerning perceptions about economic climate, users are advised that the BES is subject to inevitable errors associated with small samples.  As such, results should be interpreted with due caution.
