The Pula depreciated against the rand (1.0 percent), but appreciated against SDR currencies at the end of April 2019. The Pula appreciated against the pound sterling (1.7 percent); Japanese yen (1.2 percent); euro (1.1 percent); Chinese renminbi (0.8 percent) and US dollar (0.5 percent). However, in the twelve months to April 2019, the Pula appreciated against the rand (6.4 percent) but depreciated against the euro (1.1 percent); US dollar (8.9 percent); Japanese yen (7.1 percent); pound sterling (3.0 percent) and Chinese renminbi (2.5 percent).
