The Pula appreciated against the rand (2.2 percent), but depreciated against SDR currencies at the end of March 2019. It depreciated against the Japanese yen (2.4 percent); US dollar (2.3 percent); Chinese renminbi (1.6 percent); euro (1.1 percent) and pound sterling (0.6 percent). In the twelve months to March 2019, the Pula appreciated against the rand (9.6 percent) but depreciated against the US dollar (11.6 percent); Japanese yen (8.2 percent); Chinese renminbi (5.3 percent); pound sterling (4.8 percent); and euro (3.1 percent).
