His Excellency the President, has approved the recommendation by the Minister of Finance and Development Planning (after consultation with the Bank of Botswana) to maintain the Pula basket weights at 45 percent South African rand and 55 percent IMF’s Special Drawing Rights (SDR). An upward rate of crawl of 0.3 percent per annum of the Pula against the basket will be implemented as of 1^st January, 2019.
