The Pula appreciated against the rand (6.1 percent), but depreciated against SDR currencies at the end of August 2018. It depreciated against the Japanese yen (5.1 percent); US dollar (4.9 percent); Chinese renminbi (4.8 percent); euro (4.7 percent) and pound sterling (4.2 percent). In the twelve months to August 2018, the Pula appreciated against the rand (6.2 percent) but depreciated against the pound sterling (6.5 percent); US dollar (5.8 percent); Japanese yen (5.4 percent); euro (4.2 percent) and Chinese renminbi (2.4 percent).
