The Pula appreciated against the US dollar (3.1 percent) but depreciated against the pound sterling, (2.3 percent), euro (1.1 percent), rand (0.8 percent), Japanese yen (0.6 percent) and Chinese renminbi (0.3 percent) in January 2018. In the twelve months to January 2018, the Pula appreciated against the US dollar (10.1 percent), Japanese yen (5.5 percent) and Chinese renminbi (1.3 percent) while depreciating against the euro (5.3 percent), pound sterling (2.9 percent) and rand (2.6 percent).
