The Pula appreciated against the US dollar (0.8 percent), euro (1.7 percent) pound (2.5 percent) and the yen (4.3 percent) while depreciating against the rand (1.5 percent) in December. On an annual basis (twelve months to December 2016), the Pula appreciated against the pound (27.5 percent), euro (9.5 percent), US dollar (5.5 percent) and the yen (2.1 percent) but depreciated against the rand (7.5 percent).
