Headline inflation fell to 2.9 percent in November from 3.1 percent in October.  Inflation fell for most commodity groups, including: food and non-alcoholic beverages (from 1.2 to 0.9 percent); clothing and footwear (from 8.3 to 8.0 percent); housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (from 9.7 to 9.5 percent); furnishing, household equipment and routine maintenance (from 6.1 to 5.7 percent); health (from 6.1 to 6.0 percent); transport (from -6.5 to -7.0 percent); recreation and culture (from 6.5 to 6.3 percent);  and miscellaneous goods and services (from 7.8 to 7.3 percent). However, this was partly offset by rising inflation for alcoholic beverages and tobacco (from 5.9 to 6.0). Inflation was unchanged for:  communication (0.5 percent); education (6.6 percent); and restaurants and hotels (6.1 percent).

The trimmed mean measure of core inflation and inflation excluding administered prices fell from 3.6 to 3.3 percent and 5.0 to 4.7 percent, respectively.
