The Pula appreciated against the rand (2.8 percent) while depreciating against the euro (4.3 percent), yen (4.2 percent), the US dollar (1.9 percent) and the pound (0.8 percent) in August. On an annual basis (twelve months to August 2015), the Pula appreciated against the rand (7.7 percent), the euro (0.8 percent) and the yen (0.4 percent), but depreciated against the US dollar (14.0 percent) and pound (7.5 percent).
