The Bank Rate was maintained at 6.5 percent at the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting held on April 9. In reaching its decision, the Committee noted the positive outlook that is expected to keep inflation within the Bank’s 3 – 6 percent inflation objective in the medium term.
