The Bank Rate was maintained at 7.5 percent at the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting held on December 16, 2014. In reaching its decision, the Committee noted the positive medium-term outlook that is expected to keep inflation within the Bank’s 3 – 6 percent inflation objective.
