The Pula depreciated against the USD (4.0 percent), pound (1.8 percent) and the euro (0.2 percent) while appreciating against the rand (1.6 percent) and the yen (1.5 percent) in August. On an annual basis (twelve months to September 2014), the Pula depreciated against the pound (8.5 percent), US dollar (7.8 percent), euro (2.0 percent) while appreciating against the rand (4.1 percent) and the yen (2.3 percent), respectively.
