A new family of coin will be introduced in the first quarter of 2014. This follows a comprehensive review to take account of latest technology trends and security features. Members of the public are requested to familiarise themselves with the features of the new coin, details of which will be published shortly. Following the introduction of the new coin, the old coin will be withdrawn from circulation and demonetised.
