A team from the International Monetary Fund Mission (IMF) visited Botswana from May 21 to June 1 to conduct the annual “Article IV Consultations for 2012”. The mission's work was to review recent economic developments, prospects and risks, and policies to ensure continued macroeconomic stability and growth. At the conclusion of the mission, the IMF issued a press release which indicated support for the current policy stance of the Botswana authorities in the context to continuing uncertainty about the health of the global economy.
