Moody’s Investors Service (Moody’s) has announced the result of its 2011 review of Botswana’s Sovereign credit ratings. As a result both the foreign and local currency rating have been retained at A2, while the outlook has been revised upwards from “negative” to “stable”. The revision of the outlook is a reversal of the downgrade to “negative” in February 2010, and reflects the continued recovery of the economy and prudent management by the authorities.
