In November, headline inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) remained unchanged at 7.2 percent, registering mixed and generally minor movements across commodity groups. Inflation increased for food and non-alcoholic beverages (from 3.4 percent to 3.5 percent); clothing and footwear (from 8.7 percent to 8.9 percent); and housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (from 6.7 percent to 6.9 percent). On the other hand, there were offsetting decreases in inflation for alcohol and tobacco (from 9.0 percent to 8.8 percent); furnishing, household equipment and routine maintenance (from 9.0 percent to 8.9 percent); health (from 3.3 percent to 2.9 percent); transport (from 11.3 percent to 11.1 percent); communication (from 1.8 percent to 1.7 percent) and recreation and culture (from 6.7 percent to 6.6 percent). Inflation remained unchanged for education, restaurants and hotels and miscellaneous goods and services, at 5.8 percent, 10.8 percent and 7.3 percent, respectively. The trimmed mean measure of core inflation also remained unchanged at 7.6 percent, while the inflation excluding administered prices declined slightly by 0.1 percentage points from 6.8 percent to 6.7 percent.
