The Bank of Botswana has extended the duration for which old currency can be exchanged for new banknotesat commercial banks and other designated financial institutions until March 31, 2010. The public is advised to make full use of this additional period since there will be no further extensions. As previously announced, currency exchange will continue at the Bank of Botswana in Gaborone and Francistown until December 31, 2014.For more details see press release.
