By end of January, the movement of Pula against major trading partner currencies was mixed. The Pula depreciated against the US dollar (5.6 percent), pound (4.5 percent) and the yen (6.5 percent) while it appreciated against the rand (1.5 percent) and the euro (3.0 percent). On an annual basis the Pula depreciated against the yen (34.1 percent), US dollar (21.5 percent) and the euro (9.3 percent).
