During August, the Pula depreciated against US dollar (0.5 percent), the euro (1.3 percent) and the yen (3.0 percent) while it appreciated against the pound (1.7 percent) and the rand (0.2 percent) respectively. On an annual basis the movement of the Pula was also mixed. It depreciated against the yen (18.0 percent), US dollar (3.6 percent), the euro (0.3 percent) and the rand (2.2 percent) while appreciating against the pound (8.8 percent) respectively.
