Since 1998 the Bank of Botswana has published an annual Monetary Policy Statement (MPS) as the centrepiece of the Bank’s monetary policy framework. The Statement, which is launched in February each year, reviews developments regarding both domestic and international inflation over the previous twelve months, and sets out the Bank’s inflation objective for the coming year. It also announces any changes that have been made to the policy framework. The MPS is supplemented by a mid-year review.
