The Human Resources Department is a support department, responsible for providing guidance on human resources policies and their implementation to ensure that the Bank remains an employer of choice. It comprises four units:
- the Recruitment and Training Unit is responsible for attracting and recruiting potential employees and providing relevant and essential training and staff development;
- the Personnel and Pensions Unit is responsible for guiding human resources policy formulation and implementation and coordinates the administration of the Staff Pension Fund;
- the Organisation Development and Industrial Relations Unit is responsible for organisational change and development to foster organisational effectiveness; labour market surveillance; good industrial relations and staff welfare; and developing staff retention strategies;
- the Staff Health Unit is responsible for driving the Bank’s occupational safety, health and the environment; the coordination of the Staff health clinic, as well as driving the Bank’s HIV/Aids Programme.
